DeMist Farm is a working Citrus and Vegetable Farm in the beautiful Gamtoos Valley. The Gamtoos River flows over the farm and the River Camp is popular with fishermen. If you visit in season you can experience the whole process of harvesting citrus and even pick some of your own.
Apart from the citrus and vegetable farm activities there is also a succulent nursery where you will find a variety of aloes both small and medium from spectacular hybrids to the amazing heritage aloes from this area and the rest of south Africa.
Right through the year we offer hiking on the farm and surrounding veld, birdwatching and fishing. DeMist is close enough to go mountain biking for the day in the Baviaanskloof or to visit some of the other main towns like Jeffreys Bay or Port Elizabeth.
The farm is 24 km from the Kouga Dam.
But mostly on the farm we offer you peace, fresh air, quiet, nature and time to rest.
The current owners are the 4th generation on the farm and the self catering cottages have been named after their ancestors Old Pollie and Old Bearie.
